My Example of Religious Experience:
The relationship you share with your Deity and the ethical teaching that are shown to you through sacred rituals and ceremonies all have a close connection to a religious experience. Though the most important question, how do you live out those beliefs?
There is going to be a huge difference between a Jew living in Jerusalem and a Jew living in Sydney.
Firstly the Jew living in Sydney isn’t connected physically to his origins or ‘roots’ so he has lost a certain connection with his real home. He is also alienated from is family, friends and ancestors back in Jerusalem. So he cannot learn, nor share the experiences he has witnessed with God. Even though he has all the resources to learn what he needs to know about the Jewish way of life in Sydney. There will always be that slight disconnection to his God.
However.
The Jew living in Jerusalem has been born in the most sacred place in Judaism. So already he is initially becoming a Jew, and he cant even say ‘God’ yet.

"If you ever bump into a man that has been born, raised and loved in Jerusalem, yet doesn't know a thing about his religion. Please let me know: 0407705887."
- Stefan Kovacevic.
Once someone is born into something, it is hard for him/her not to get involved. This could be anything, if your dad plays music, your mum is in a band and your sister is a producer, it will be pretty silly for you to do anything else but play music.
Anyway! Back to the Jew in Jerusalem
When the Jew in Jerusalem grows up to be a teenager, his Jewish parents are most defiantly going to throw a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. So already he is being fully recognised as a Jewish member of society. While going to school in Jerusalem, all his friends will be Jewish, they will have the same outlook on all the writings and texts they study. After years of schooling he will have probably 100x the knowledge of the Jew living in Sydney.
So as you can see, the divinity within the relationship between the individuals (believer) and their community’s all links in like a triangle. If you are missing one of the sides of the triangle everything will collapses. Though if all 3 sides are standing strong, then you are guaranteed to have a strong relationship with God or any Deity.
