The Synagogue
The Synagogue is the basically a Jewish Church. However its not the exact same as a church. The Synagogue is the centre of the Jewish religion. Prayer, education, study, social and charitable work are all practised and found within a Synagogue. The Jewish belief states a child's education does not stop after a Bar Mitzvah, instead the study of sacred texts is a long journey and task. The Synagogue also has non-religious events like a room or hall where matters of importance can be discussed.
The Cave of the Patriarchs
The Cave of Patriarchs is located in Israel. It is also know as the Cave of Machpelah. The reason this cave is so significant is because this is where Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their waves are buried. This site is not only important for Jews, but also for Muslims. This tomb however has been the place of much violence between the two religions. The UNESCO has made the site apart of its world heritage list to stop any damage being made to the site.
